  1. A few days ago I heard (by way of the Internet Archive) a recording of the Grateful Dead playing at one of the original Acid Tests, and on this particular occasion the place got busted. But no big problem, they all seemed to take the bust in stride, even working it into and around the music (for a little while anyways). As someone in the background shouted, “Crazy times!”

  2. I kind of enjoy the fact, too, that the building on which this marquee stands is an apartment complex designed from the retooling of the former Fine Arts movie theater–where the last film I saw was a pretty good version of James Joyce’s The Dead.

  3. This building was only built a decade ago or so, correct? Yet showing some age!
